STORY:
Once Lords Brahma& Maha Vishnu travelled all over universe in the thought of finding Lord Shiva's top of head, Mudi & sole Adi but they ended up with disappointment.
So the Supreme power Maha Shivan, Shiv Mahadev on Karthigai Nakshatra in the month of Karthigai, emerged as beam of divine light as from bottom to top of whole universe and this happened at the point of mountain Annamalai, Thiruvannamalai,TN.
Karthigai deepam celebrated every year to glorify the Almighty by light Maha deepam in all mountains & hills at the top on every Karthigai Nakshatra in Karthigai Month.
