For that we no need to be a nutritionist. The Basic knowledge of food and nutrients taught in our schools itself will aid you a lot to choose your good food.
One such food that comes first in our check list is Sprouts. Germinated seeds or Sprouts have a bundle of nutrients doubled than its actual pulses. They are very cheap when purchased, still cheaper when prepared at home.
Let we see just basic benefits of Sprouts as outline.

Benefits of Sprouts:
Immunity boosters
Rich in Vitamin C B K . Due to this fact they play major role in our immune system and protect our body from infections.
Helps Digestion:
Sprouts add dietary fibre to the food whicheliminates toxin in the and helps in digestion. They act on phytic acids in membranes which prevent the digestive enzymes in seeds to act on food we eat. There by facilitates digestion.
Helps Weight loss:.
Fibre in the Sprouts make us to feel fullness, thereby contributing the appetite inducing hormone ghrelin to release. So helps us less intake of food.
Fights Cancer:
Anti inflammatory property combined with other detoxifying effects help in fighting cancer.
Healthy Heart. Cholesterol, Sugar control:
Rich in omega 3 fatty acid helps Heart functioning, lessening LDL and increasing HDL. Helps in blood cholesterol and sugar control too.

Method of sprouting at home:
How to Sprout at home??
Sprouting at home is very simple and traditional old method followed mos of household in india especially, Southindian states. They make some sprouting, germinated seeds before starting any festival.
Soak the seeds you wanted to Sprout in water for one night.
The next day, drain the water in a strainer and cover it with wet cloth. Keep aside.
Depending on the seeds you chose, small growths come out in 3 to 5 days.
Sprinkle water on the cloth ones a day to keep it moist.
Instead of covering you can also tie all seeds in big clean cloth as a bundle.
Sprout Recepie:
Now let we roll on to our healthy Sprouts Recepie.
Here I have prepared Brlack Chenna Sprouts .
So we are going to make simple chenna Sprouts Recepie for lunch boxing and even at home.
INGREDIENTS:
Black or brown Chenna Sprouts 1 cup
Tomato 2 nos.
Garlic4 flakes.
Cooked Rice one and half cup.
Oil 3 spoons
Mustard.
Fennel.
Turmeric, Sambar masala powder, salt.
How to prepare:
Get ready with already Sprouted Black or brown chenna.
Grind tomatoes and fgarlic to paste in a mixer.
Can use already cooked boiled,raw or Basumathi Rice.
In a hot pan add oil .
After oil is heated add Mustard, fennel.
When saute, add the paste to it.
Cook well until the raw smell goes off.
Add a little turmeric, and sambar powder to it mix well.
Add the chenna Sprouts to the mix .
Add 1/2cup of water. Mix and boil for 2 minutes.
Then lower the flame, close it with lid.
As germinated seeds will be cooked fast,it takes 5 minutes to being cooked well.
Check whether cooked well, by pressing one chenna to easily smashed with fingers.
By this time, chenna would have mixed well with masala.
Add curry or coriander leaves if you want.
Add the cooked rice to the masala paste,
mix gently to get a Tasty Healthy, Chenna Sprouts Rice Recipe.
It wil be very easy to prepare in kitchen quickly in the morning busy schedule for lunch boxing, than it is described here.
